UPDATE: Rusty got his pin out, is neutered, vaccinated and would love to have a home. He is a very sweet dog and appears to be housetrained. RUSTY is doing well. he has a pin in his leg which needs to stay in a little longer but is such a happy dog, tail is always wagging. Rusty is such a sweet little guy and looks like a curlyl hair doxen or poodle/doxen mix - 14 lbs. He was hit by a car which his owners saw and chose not to do anything about - they didn't want him so animal control was called to pick him up. he ended up at PVAC shelter. When I heard about him I offered to take him and seek appropriate vet care. He is still a happy dog, taili wagging - never know anything is wrong. After x-rays we found out he has a broken leg - back right - above the knee and a couple of ribs on that side are also broken from the trauma. My vet will put a pin in his leg this next week to start the road for recovery. He is limping but acts normal, still wants attention, wants to play, doesn't even act like he is in pain at all. such a great disposition - he deserves a chance and a new family of his own.
